Ohio’s 529 Plan Supports Many Partnerships Statewide
Ohio’s 529 Plan is proud to partner with organizations from all across the state to raise awareness of the importance of education after high school. With our sponsorships, we want to help Ohio families prepare for post-secondary education and sometimes that even includes a college savings award to help reach that college savings goal. Here are some of our fall and winter sponsorships.
Cincinnati Bengals Kickoff College Savings: Since 2012, Ohio’s 529 Plan has teamed up with the reigning AFC Champion to provide one family an Ohio Direct 529 Plan $10,000 college savings award. Cincinnati Bengals Kids Club: If you have a kid who loves the Bengals, then the Bengals Kids Club is for you! Registration is free for the club and includes a monthly email newsletter updating young fans on the Bengals latest news and what Who Dey has been up to! Columbus Blue Jackets “My First Game” Puck: For every child at their first Blue Jackets game, Ohio’s 529 Plan sponsors a free gift for them available at guest services: A free NHL regulation hockey “My First Game” puck! Nearly 5,000 First Game Pucks were distributed last season.
Columbus Book Jackets: Ohio’s 529 Plan is proud to partner with the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation for a sixth season to present the Book Jackets to help students who may studying in the classroom or at home. This program encourages central Ohio kindergarten – 8th grade students to spend time reading and sharpen their learning skills.
Cincinnati Reds Heads Kids Club: For families who join the Reds Heads Kids Club, their children enjoy special events, memorabilia, and treats as Reds Heads members, as well as additional benefits, like the chance to win a $529 college savings award in 2023.
Future Flyers Kids Club: The University of Dayton's Future Flyer Kids Club, presented by City of Dayton Water and Ohio’s 529 Plan, offers fans in eighth grade or younger the opportunity to experience Dayton Flyer Athletics at its best! All FFKC members will be mailed a box with all of their official FFKC member items after joining. Membership for the 2022-23 season is now open!
Swoops Kids Club: Ohio’s 529 Plan is the sponsor of Swoop’s Kids Club at Miami University. It’s open to children 13 and under. Your children will receive free tickets to select Redhawks home games, access to autograph sessions, a membership bag of Miami swag, and discounted tickets options for Swoop’s Kids Club families. Gridiron Glory: Ohio’s 529 sponsors Gridiron Glory with WOUB, a weekly 30-minute program highlighting high school football throughout Southeast Ohio. 70 high schools are represented in WOUB’s regional coverage. Gridiron Glory airs every Friday night at 11:30 p.m. and repeats Saturday morning at 11:30 am during the high school football season through Nov. 18. This program is produced by WOUB students at Ohio University and you can watch at WOUB.org/GridironGlory.
