State Rep. Heidi Workman
Representative Heidi Workman is serving her first term in the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 72nd House District, which includes most of Portage County. She serves as Vice Chair of the Technology and Innovation Committee and is a member of the Government Oversight, Natural Resources, and Workforce & Higher Education committees. Additionally, she was appointed to the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority.
Rep. Workman brings a strong background in healthcare, small business, and community leadership. For over twenty years, she worked as a registered nurse, providing patient care and working in healthcare administration and insurance. Her professional experience has given her firsthand knowledge of the challenges families face when navigating the healthcare system, fueling her commitment to lowering costs and improving access to care.
In addition to her healthcare career, Rep. Workman is a small business owner, where she has seen firsthand the burden excessive regulation and high taxes place on Ohio entrepreneurs. This perspective drives her advocacy for policies that cut red tape, ease regulatory burdens, and promote job creation across the state.
Rep. Workman is a lifelong resident of Portage County and a proud graduate of Bowling Green State University and Kent State University. As a mother of four, she is passionate about building a stronger Ohio for the next generation and believes that reducing the tax burden and fostering economic growth are key to that mission.
She is honored to serve her community at the Statehouse and is committed to advancing common-sense, pro-family, and pro-business policies that strengthen Ohio’s economy and protect its values.
