The office of Ohio 529, CollegeAdvantage, will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Our Customer Service Department will also be closed for the holiday. Our Customer Service representatives are available to assist you on regular business days from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET before or after the holiday. You can reach them at 1-800-AFFORD-IT (800-233-6734).
While our office may be closed, you can always open an account over the holiday weekend to start saving for education after high school.
If you are already an Ohio 529 account owner, you can log in to complete transactions online as usual or use the READYSAVE 529 app to access your account information, track account growth, and make both one-time and recurring contributions all from your cell phone. You can download the READYSAVE 529 app now from the Apple and Google Play app stores. Once you install the app, select Ohio’s 529 Plan from the list and log in with the same username and password you use to access your account online.
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025. Any transaction requested on a holiday, weekend, or after the NYSE closes will be processed on the next business day.

The 40th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Breakfast will be held on Monday, Jan. 20 at the Columbus Convention Center. Ohio History Connection, in conjunction with the Kings Art Complex, will host an open house Monday, Jan. 20.
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is hosting a 2025 King Legacy Celebration with a continental breakfast, performances, and Wendy Ellis, DrPH, the inaugural director of the Institute for Racial, Ethnic and Socioeconomic Equity and the founding director of the Center for Community Resilience at George Washington University, as the keynote speaker. The celebration starts at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20.
Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition of Cincinnati will host its free 50th anniversary program and march, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 20. The 23rd MLK Jr. “Keep the Dream Alive” Ceremony will be held at the Church of the Resurrection on Jan. 20 and will honor ten Cincinnatians.

Many organizations in Cleveland are offering special events in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ON Monday, Jan. 20, the Cleveland Museum of Art will host a free celebration honoring Dr. King with readings of his works and creating artwork inspired by him. The Cleveland Orchestra is offering the free MLK Community Open House & Day of Music from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25. Case Western Reserve University will have a free 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation on Friday, Jan. 24.
