The Akron RubberDucks and Ohio 529 CollegeAdvantage teamed up for the “Most Improved Student” program, for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Most Improved Student’s Program highlights students from local school districts in the Akron area that exemplify academic improvement throughout the course of the year. Teachers used their own discretion to determine which students were nominated.
Third-grade student Emmitt Holloman was randomly selected as the “Most Improved Student.” He was accompanied by his parents Matt and Arrilla Hollimon, sister Eden, and grandparents Charlie and Helen Michael and Donna Wilson, to the May 27 game and check presentation.
Congratulations to Emmitt and everyone who was nominated as a Most Improved Student! And best wishes to the Akron RubberDucks for the 2026 season and beyond!
