The office of Ohio 529 CollegeAdvantage will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12, in observance of Columbus Day.
Our Customer Service Department will also be closed in observance of this federal holiday. Our Customer Service representatives are available to assist you on regular business days from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST before or after the holiday. You can reach them at 1-800-AFFORD-IT (800-233-6734).
While our office may be closed, you can always open an account online or with our READYSAVE 529 app in four easy steps this holiday weekend and start saving for college and career training. Ohio 529 has simplified the process to start saving. Save your username and password as you will need them to if you’re unable to complete your application in one sitting, as well as access your account once opened.
If you are already an Ohio 529 account owner, you can use the READYSAVE 529 app to access your account information, track account growth, withdrawal funds for qualified higher education expenses, and make both one-time and recurring contributions from the bank account on file while our office is closed.
You can download the READYSAVE 529 app now from the Apple and Google Play app stores. Once you install the app, select Ohio 529 CollegeAdvantage from the list and log in with the same username and password you use to access your account online.
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will be open. However, any transaction requested on a holiday, weekend, or after the NYSE closes will be processed on the next business day.
An Ohio 529 account can be used for whatever education comes after high school—including four-year colleges and universities, community colleges, tech, trade or vocational schools, certificate or credential programs, and apprenticeships verified by U.S. Department of Labor.
